On the way into work this morning I had my radio tuned to my regular AM station to hear the news stories and weather. A couple minutes later the sports reporter begins his summary of last night's sporting news.
His first story was how the NHL & NHLPA had a late-night bargaining session and, lo and behold, there would be an NHL season after all. He had details on the contract, length of the makeup season and details on how the playoffs would work. Then he interviewed a few local sports personalities, each of course injecting anecdotes relating to how they found out, what they think about it, etc etc. In short, it sounded pretty authentic. I hadn't forgotten about April Fool's - it just sounded like the real deal.
:| boy did i get pwned. *runs away crying with arms flailing*
