My computer seems to hang quite a bit.....
When I open folders.......when i click on IE......Quite a bit of the time it just freezes...

I just replaces the Power supply......
I have no malware or viruses......

I am thinking that it could be my OS!!
I am running win2000! A friend several years ago copied it to a dick and thats what I have been using.

I am thinking of purchasing an OEM copy of Vista or winXP! I was told to go 64 bit......from what I understand 64 bit is backwards compatable for 32 bit??

Thanks for any help!!

Have you looked in Device Manager for problems?
Have you looked in Event Viewer for problems?

If you install a 64 bit OS, you'll need 64 bit drivers for all your components (sound, chipset, video, etc.). Sometimes they are not available for older computer components. Locate all the driver you will need before installing.
