Newegg.ca has a great deal right now: each of these boards is on sale with a G.SKILL Ripjaws X 8GB DDR3 8GB (F3-12800CL10S-8GBXL), so I am thinking of pulling the pin on an upgrade.

Is there really any reason to pick one board over the other from a quality/reliability and performance perspective?

I will be pairing this with an i5-3570K, likely no initial over-clock, but I will be over-clocking down the road, though nothing extreme. Also being paired with the remaining components in my signature.

I will primarily be using the machine for gaming and video transcoding.

I do not anticipate ever going with crossfire or sli.

If its got to be one of those, I would probably go with the asrock extreme. I myself am very happy with the MSI boards right now; I got my GD55 for about $140.
