Some 800mhz Thunderbirds only OC to 850mhz?

I sure hope it's not my processors inability to OC any higher, and that something else is going on. When I set my multiplier any higher than 8.5 (I've tried 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5), I just get a black screen. My mobo is an A7V, and I'm staying with 100mhz FSB for now. I was wondering if this could be the result of weak pencil lead unlocking? Oh, and my processor is A0800AMT3B instead of A0800APT3B, so that means it's 1.8v core? I've heard that's what the M instead of P means.

I've heard that the T-Bird 800 is a pretty sorry overclocker. I'm not 100% certain about that though. Thats just what I've heard through word of mouth.

Try and set the multiplyer to 8.5 and fsb of 105 and see if it goes. If it goes then you might have to check your L1 bridges again. Maybe you didn't get the others good enough.

My 800 tbird with the green core overclocks to 1000mhz and is completely stable. However, I had to manually adjust the voltage setting to 1.825 on the motherboard to get it to work. For some reason, changing the voltage setting in the BIOS wouldn't allow my computer to POST.

Hope this helps.
