I like the part about how a Navy SEAL used a knife to kill one of the pirates.

I would like to shake his hand.

Unfortunately there isn't much other way around if you want to get into Red Sea and then through the Suez into the Mediterranean.

I have always through a good option would be for the US navy to purchase a couple yachts. Put hidden weapons on the yachts like 40mm Bofors guns that can pop-up and .50 BMG. Have Marines and naval personnel on the yachts in civilians. Maybe even have a couple of female personnel sunbathing. When the pirates see the yacht as a ripe target, for the taking. Wait till they get in close, weapons pop out and pirates get killed. Don't even bother to collect bodies. Just sink the pirate boat, make sure there are no survivors and move on to wait for the next victim. I suspect that some people will see this as entrapment for the pirates and complain about it.

Just as we did the German U Boats in WW2.

Huge mistake to bring them back to the US. Try them in a military tribunal aboard the ship and execute them.

Try? I thought Captain of ships have extra judiciary powers? Anyway all should be executed on the spot. Piracy used to be a death sentence if caught in the act and still should be if you want it to stop.
