I don't know how many of you has sound problem using this board with the sblive card. I did.
My mobo is a7v133, the one with raid controller.
if i put my hard disk at the original ide controller, there will be sound crackling when i play mp3 and copy a file to hard disk. this does not occur if the hard disk is connected to the raid controller.
The cause of the problem is because ASUS defaulted its pci voltage to 3.45v, while the standard voltage is suppose to be 3.3v. As we know, the voltage is not always fix. 3.3 can go up to 3.4 or 3.25. When the voltage is set to 3,45, it can go as high as 3.56v !!!!
the solution of this problem is simply change the VIO jumper (located at the enge of the board, next to the ATX power connector, from jp2-3 (default, 3.45v) to jp1-2 (3.3v)
I don't know if anybody ever post this solution before, but anyway, I hope that helps
