Hello all

Well I was reading up on security diagnosis and ran across cc.exe being an undesirable piece of adaware. I did a file search and windows didn't find anything so I moved on. BUT awhile later I was removing securom that had been added to my computer when I installed far cry 2. I was removing the registry entries for securom when lone behold there is a cc.exe entry along with a securom entry in HKEY_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Search Assistant/ACMru/5603.

Should this worry me at all or is it a part of securom seeming it's in the same folder? It seems it's also the only securom entry that won't delete. It reappears after restart and there is no securom files or folders on my C drive nor anymore programs that run Securom.

Any thoughts? Should I reformat my pc and call it a day?

BAH nvm people. I just found out that the entries put under that directory are saved from windows searches. It's there because I searched for "cc.exe" earlier. Went on my laptop and searched for "cc.exe" in registry and found nothing, did a windows search for it and then went back and did registry search again and there it was. In short I'm a paranoid dope.
