I just built a system tonight, specs:
AMD fx-57
Asus a8r-mvp
geil ram
raptor
ATI x1800 xt
dvd drive
Sonata II with 450 W PSU.
Heres the problem:
I installed everything and when I turn on power everything whirs up (hdd, dvdrom, x1800 xt) but nothing shows on the monitor. I have a few questions:
Could it be the CPU? What would indicate a bad chip?
The x1800 xt's fan is going and everything, it wouldn't be that would it?
Actually I don't know what else. I am so puzzled. No output to the monitor at all. When I hold down power button it takes 5 seconds so I don't sense an error, but I have no clue. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
