Hi,
Building a new computer using some spare parts I had.
After getting everything together, system powers on fine.
Lights and fans come on, keyboard and mouse lights flicker, hard drive and optical spin up.
However I get no video.
What I've tried so far:
1. Trid both IGP and discrete video.
2. I have 2 sticks of RAM, I've swapped them out using each one, one at a time, in all four dimm slots.
3. Unplugged everything from the back and both drives.
4. Case came with a small attachable speaker. Attached it and it seems I'm getting no post beeps either.
I can plug/unplug the usb mouse and the light flickers on quick, but then shuts off and never comes back on. Similarly, the kb lights flicker at power on, but then cease to respond after that.
Any other thoughts of what I could try? My first guess would be the motherboard is bad.
CPU came from my system and was working fine a couple of hours ago. The RAM I'm using was in use about a month ago and was fine. Let me know if anymore details about the system would be useful:
CPU: AMD 64 3500+
Memeory : 2x 512 Corsair XMS DDR2 800
Mobo: Jetway AM2 M26GT3-SVP

I ripped the PSU from my main build and it came up like a champ.
It came included with a $19 case, guess that should have been my first clue.
