SOLVED - NEC 3500 DVD burner and packet writing question

Does anybody have an NEC 3500 or Pioneer 108 that works with InCD? I just got the NEC drive and bought some Sony DVD+RW's. When I try to format them I get error message that says the disc may be incompatible or scratched. I have check NEC web site and Sony media is support; and this is true because the DVD+RW's work fine with Nero Burning Rom (writing and erasing them). The problem seems to be limited to InCD and packet writing. Has anybody else seen this problem?

Problem solved, see coments below.

Well, generally I've found packet writing with software like InCD or DirectCD to be problematic. I last used DirectCD 5 or 6 years ago, and it didn't work that well.

Have you had good luck with InCD before?

Yes I have had good luck with InCD. To me packet writing is just better that messing with multi session discs all the time for incremental file updates.

Well after spending a couple of hours on Google and some time over at CDFreaks I found the problem. I found a link that indicated InCD and Alcohol 120 could conflict with each other. So I uninstalled Alcohol 120 and the format with InCD went perfectly. Not the best solution because I like Alcohol 120 but a least I know the problem is not with the NEC drive. Hopefully a future version of either Alcohol 120 or InCD won't have this problem. What threw me off was CDRWs worked fine, the conflict only seems to affect DVD+/-RW's.
