Is it possible to run 2 steam accounts on the same computer (at the same time)? One would be for hosting a server, the other to play in it with friends.

Or better yet, is it possible to host a game server on a pc and play in the server on that same pc?
 
What game? Just about all the games on steam have dedicated servers available for d/l, or is there some other reason you'd wanna run 2 instances at a time?

Can you? I've tried and haven't been able to connect to my own server that I'm hosting. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. How do you do it?
 
Not sure whether it is a requirement, but every time I've ran a 1.6 or Source server, I changed the server port to something other than the default 27015. Otherwise, I can't seem to connect from the same computer.
