I can't even click on Quick Links without it popping up a new window, and then it doesn't even go to Quick Links drop down menu.

In addition to THAT whole rats nest you guys haven't taken care of for the past week or so, if I'm in a thread, it will redirect to some scam site.

I have ru 3 different AV's (ESET, Avast!, Trend Micro) and found a java package which I removed, and I also uninstalled java. It's a script issue with your site or the ad servers maybe. MAYBE. I have all the java scipt options unchecked in Firefox, and no other issues with my PC. Please get to fixing it.

It's happening on a few other vB boards, but this site is consistently worse than any other.

I don't think so. It started during the wikileaks related DDOS attacks, and it pops up a pagead2.google.com or results.googlesyndication.com URL in a new window, so it's ad related.... BUT it's worse than any other site ON ANANDTECH. Everytime you click on a link, it goes through (you can watch it on your status bar) more than 3 other servers. And, there are similar threads on this forum, if you look around.

I don't listen to people who have ZERO EVIDENCE or REASON to explain their statement. Because they are usually wrong / retarded. Do you even comprehend critical thinking & trouble shooting methodology? If it it's JUST my computer, then why is it only happening on this site? Look at your status bar and look at all the crappy ad pages and data collecting BS that this site puts your through.

It is just this site, just on your computer. Across 3 computers and 5+ operating systems, i am visiting his forum on each without issue. Google analytics do track you for their customers, that is true. But they don't spawn extra windows like malware. God knows what sites you have visited and how you have compromised your pc.

Can you be at least slightly helpful (not sure if you ever could be), or are you going to continue to be annoying? Like I said, it's all directing to pagead2.google.com and there are other threads like this here, so don't be so confident.

By the way, I solved the problem so far... reinstalled firefox (without uninstalling), disabled add-ons, and reset the WiFi router.
 
I've accessed the forums on many computers as well, and never one problem like you described.

I just freakin' told you I fixed my own computer. It must have been some java script error. And NO THANKS TO YOU, who didn't help one damn bit! All you two caused was an annoyance.

You didn't suggest anything that even remotely helped. But next time maybe you'll get all excited over yourself if I say thanks for your single sentence obvious, unhelpful answers that go without even saying. Of course I considered it was my computer, but only this site was the worst and only one of 3 that had this problem. It was all the coded bloat crap on this site that was causing the problem to act up.
