On the start screen, there is a power button. Clicking that, gives "Sleep", "Shutdown", and "Restart". There's no Hibernate option. Selecting "Shutdown" actually seems to shut down the laptop, as when I power it back on, my apps are all closed.
This strikes me as fairly bizarre.
It's an Asus X551M laptop, btw.
Edit: Hybrid sleep was "off" for both battery and AC power.
I simply changed the power-button action to "Hibernate" for both battery and AC power. Now it hibernates. No idea why that option doesn't show up under the power widget in the menus, especially with Hybrid sleep disabled.
