*Solved* Baffling Viewsonic VX2025WM monitor issue

My Setup:

Primary Monitor - Viewsonic VX2025WM
Secondary Monitor - Dell 1905FP
Video Card - BFG 6800OC with 1 x DVI and 1 x Analog

Scenarios (in all cases, no video card drivers have been installed):

  • 2025 connected via DVI and 1905 connected via analog, computer off. I turn the computer on, and only the 1905 shows a picture. The 2025 displays "no signal", which disappears and the power light turns amber.

  • 2025 connected via analog and 1905 connected via DVI, computer off. I turn the computer on, and both displays show a picture. Seems to work perfect.

  • 2025 connected via DVI. No other displays connected, computer off. I turn the computer on, and the 2025 displays "no signal".

  • 2025 connected via analog. No other displays connected, computer off. I turn the computer on, and the 2025 shows a picture.

  • 1905 connected via DVI or analog. No other displays connected, computer off. I turn the computer on, and the 1905 shows a picture.

  • 2025 connected via DVI, DVI switched over to 1905, DVI switched back to 2025, computer on. The 2025 shows a picture.

  • 2025 connected via DVI to another computer (video card is a 5900SE). No other displays connected, computer off. I turn the new computer on, and the 2025 shows a picture.

Now, based on the above evidence, the only conclusion I can draw is that somehow either the 6800OC DVI port or the Viewsonic DVI port is messed up. I have tried swapping DVI cables, and the exact some scenarios occur. Analog always works, as noted above. What do you guys think the issue is?

I only have my 6800OC and this other computer's 5900SE. I don't have a 3rd. I think my next course of action will be to swap cards and see what happens, but if I was wondering if anyone had some input before I spend the time doing that.

Turns out that for my desired setup to work (2025 on dvi and 1905 on analog), I had to completely power of my machine, pull the power cord, wait a couple of seconds, and then plug everything back in. It is now running perfectly! Had I not typed up my problem, I wouldn't have realized that I lied about the computer being off! I had only turned it off, not completely unplugged it.
