[SOLVED] AMD Catalyst Omega: problems with GPU up-scaling

The GPU is a 280 connected to a single 1080p display via DVI.

The problem is that after ticking off the checkbox and hitting apply, it shows as checked. Also, any scaling mode I choose, gets me the same result: the image is streched to fill the whole screen.

Anyone encountered this problem too?

AMD Catalyst™ HDMI Scaling Hotfix Software Suite

When connecting some TVs to AMD Radeon graphics through HDMI connector, users may see small black border around the image on the TV, then user can use HDMI scaling slider on Catalyst Control Center to adjust the image.
This AMD Catalyst HDMI Hotfix driver does not downscale the image, therefore, on most HDMI displays image will be displayed in proper size

Reverted to 14.9 and got the same behavior.
Solved it eventually by using Display Driver Uninstaller and then reinstalling the latest Catalyst on the clean system.
