i've seen two dollar bills but 50c... actually i might have used 50c coins (in another currency) way back then but i don't remember ...

a loonie is not shocking? but you have never heard of a half-dollar? fifty cent pieces are common compared to a 2 dollar bill...

I have an old half-dime at home, and maybe a 2-cent piece. It's been a while since I looked at the old coins, though.
