Can anyone explain this please?

Q: Given Ay = u, A:3x7, rank=3

A: The solution space of Ay = 0 is a 4-dimensional subspace of R^7.

It sounds like diff eq but.... I haven't quite figured it all out myself :)

Also you're not supposed to post homework here. Is that homework?
