Solution for small portable console play?

I am looking to buy a new setup for a small room. I'm looking for a 32" LCD/LED and a solution that would allow headphone use of 3 consoles without the need for a large and expensive AVR. I have no use for a surround sound system. At the very most I'd use a stereo setup.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a smaller TV and a setup as above? I need it to be portable and smaller. I will have to move it. Price is an issue. I need a best bang for buck no frills 32" LED/LCD. Do they even make TV's that are just TV's anymore? I don't need 3D. Nor do I need smart television or any other bells whistles. I would like it to be light and thin, like an edge lit LED, but it seems edge lit LED's are really reserved for the more expensive TVs. I would use this setup for games and the occasional movie.

Any no frills good bang for buck CCFL LCD's that might go very low during November?

Is it for gaming? or TV?

Will you sit right in front of it? What's the viewing distance?

For gaming and if you will sit right in front of it than go with 23-24" monitor. It will look better than any 32" TV as the pixles are much smaller.

Monitor > TV

More sharp/better colors (in most cases) and just more crisp.

If it's for TV duties/movies. 32" LED 1080p will probably cost you around $350 or so. You might be able to get a 1080p LCD for 300 if you are lucky

Maybe wait until Black friday /christmas sales etc.

Thanks for the suggests. Its only for movies/games. I'd like to be able to sit in a comfy chair and sit a bit away from it. However, I'd be sitting close.

I already have a Dell 2405 that works good for component and DVI/VGA. I'll probably just use that for the time being until I research a nice 32" for a good price that will work. One of the things I like about console gaming however is sitting a bit away a bit more relaxed.

Sound is an issue. I used a heaphone amp with a Red/White RCA>3.55mm to control volume. That works pretty good if you just switch out the RCA cables for the different consoles. Monitor will do some video switching utility. Wii up to Component, 360 up to VGA. Etc. I guess I'd like to hear any more elegant/cheap solutions to switch stereo audio. Switching solutions that aren't fancy.
