Hi guys,
I have a friend who recently purchased the above mentioned motherboard, along with a AXDA1800DLT3C JIUHB 0310MPMW CPU, with intentions of overclocking. So far by just increasing the FSB while keeping the 11.5X multiplier constant, he has managed to reach 183MHz FSB at ~1.8Vcore. Anything higher is unstable.
The strange thing is, if he tries to change his multiplier, the system will not even POST, and will require a CMOS clear. This happens even when he decreases the multiplier and uses a lower FSB. We've tried this on a few settings, the lowest one being 10.5X180MHz for a 1.89GHz speed(way lower than 11.5X183 for a 2.1GHz speed) and it still happens.
I'm wondering if there's anything he needs to do on both the motherboard and CPU side to enable multiplier adjustments? I was under the impression that the Tbred B and nforce2 combination alone would allow multiplier adjustments via the BIOS without doing anything else?
Thanks!
