Let me tell you I have the Soltek V2 and is a killa, It has jumpers for my AGP card, memory, great for gaming. The only problem I see in these board there are small and if you have a Full Atx box you will get short in the cables. The V5 has the P/s in the middle of the board , my Power and cooling p/s wont reach for that. But this board is kick ass, right from the box, and the support is great.

I just ordered one for my new upgrade...and I really have no worries about it....I was always an asus guy, but when you mix good technology and a killer price...I just can't pass that up. It leaves me more money to spend on other goodies!!!

I was always an Asus guy too until I started using other kick arse manufacturers.. I won't buy Asus any more.. their price premium is obviously not worth it, I've had just as good if not better products in MSI, and now Soltek. both of my last 2 mobos performing perfectly.

I replaced my Asus A7V133 with the Soltek SL- V2 purple and I m very happy, I spend almost $200 bucks for the Asus board last year and this Soltek really kick us for only $70 bucks, the support in Soltek great too Asus support sucks.

I just installed this board last week with a XP 1700+ AND WITH AN ALPHA 8045 HS.

No problems. Just be sure to set the dip switches to your CPU settings. I was used to an ASUS being so plug and play on this that I took the default 'auto' settings to seriously.

Glad to hear it :) I knew I would find a review on this board. I just picked up the same SOLTEK board, and myself have always been an ABIT guy.

Also got a 1.8XP chip and 512DDR chip...i'm soo excited.

I also wanted to add that I installed DDR 2700 (333) 512 Mb ram on it and an ATA 133 40 gig HD all from Newegg.

It also has a GF 3 ti 200 64 meg and a SB Live 5.1.

I hate to brag but this rig is awesome.

I did dual boot win 98 ME and Win XP, it's gaming paradise.

Thanks Webguy. I really took a leap getting all this stuff done on this equipment. Prior to buying I did a bunch of searches in the AT forums with no hits on this stuff, especially with the Alpha 8045 HS. So I hope this thread helps everyone out and I get to boost my ego. It's all about me. :)
