SOLTEK SL-75DRV2 and swiftech 462

Will my swifty work with the soltek? I know it's a big mother, and I heard that the board has problems with the alpha. Is there any problems here?

If you read the info on their website, the 462 is designed to fit all socket a boards that have the 4 open holes around the socket area. You have to remove the mobo for installation, and decide if you want to glue the plastic retainers that go into the 4 holes in place, to permit future removal of the heatsink without having to remove the motherboard again. I would read their installation instructions carefully before buying. You may want to go with the mcx 370 instead. I use the thermalright sk6, and my cpu temps are in the mid 40's with an old desktop case with poor venting and only one case fan in front.

i use the 462 on my soltek and the top left corner had to be rounded out for the the thing to fit past the lone capictor in that corner. used a dremel and about 10 min of work, temp at full load running prime torture is 95 degrees farinheit. best cooler on the market!
