Hi,

Please can somebody help me, I have an Soltek 75FRV socket A, I think its 462?I am running windows XP.
I needs some drivers for the motherboard, when I got the board it didn't come with a disc, usually it comes with one, ones I have had in the past have had some utilities on there as well.
The sound drivers are Realtek ac97 I think, I have trudged the Internet at cant seem to find any drivers for this board.
I have just completed a fresh install of windows so I want to try and get it right, in the past when I have installed windows xp, there is no sound even though it is enabled in the bios.
Please can someone help me.
Kind regards
Colin

well, if they are realtek, you can always go to tthe realtek website and get them there:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

you will probably need drivers for the other onboard devices on that board.

here's the chipset drivers

Thank you for the info I will download them tonight, it's all very new to me, I just have learned one thing when trying to install windows Xp,p and that is don't connect to the Internet till you have downloaded these things, plus service pack 2 if you do things start and go badly wrong.
Thanks again
Colin

Well Colin you certainly have come to the right place, there are a lot of very helpful computer aficionado's on this forum that are more than willing to help a new enthusiast out, all you have to do is ask. There is a search feature near the top of the page, and don't forget, "google" is your friend. Best of luck to you with your Soltek endeavor! (I had a few of their boards some years ago, I remember some bright yellow pimped out plastic 😛 )
