I bought the Soltek K8TPro939.. and the software that comes with it is acting a bit odd.

The RedStorm overclocker doesn't even work. I run it, and it shows up in the tray.. and that's it. I can't open it at all, in any way.

The m/b monitor reports this:

-5V: --3.692

and the --3.692 is in red. What the heck? The BIOS isn't showing anything funky.

What's up with this software? And should I worry about that -5V value? Can I verify it in some other program?

The -5v reading is a known problem. There is no h/w problem except that the reading is off.
Install bios v1.4 to fix the temperature reading issue. And check out the thread by Lydi. Problems and fixes were discussed there.

Your system doesn't use the -5 rail anyway. Soltek's hardware monitoring software is a joke. At least with this beta, the temperature seems correct. With the last version, it was reading 10-15c over the BIOS reported temperature. The voltages are way off. I had better readings with my cheap 500w Aspire PSU than with my Neopower 480 acording to the Soltek software. I kind of doubt that...and if it's true, I want my 109.00 back for the Neopower for giving me 11.4 on my 12v rail. :)
