Soltek 85MIV Mobo, Is it A good stable board?

Hi

Looking for a cheap upgrade for my fathers PC...found a 1.7 GHz Celeron and the above Soltek mobo for a good deal....has onboard sound and video...is it worth purchasing? Will it best solid/fast machine?

I suges you should better not buy the 85MIV because it 's PM266 chipset. VIA is not good at P4 platform ant is not stable as other P4 Chipset. I think the good and econimoc chip for C4 are 845D or SIS 645DX, 845GL shold be the best integreted video platform for the C4.
