Soltek 75mrn NOT FOR PRODUCTION warning

Just bought this board, and when it's booting up and shows that the onboard video is Geforce 4 mx, it also says that it is an engineering board, not for production. Anyone else have a board that says this? Is the person I'm trying to buy from pulling a fast one?

Certainly sounds like you have a ES board, I would definitely take the advice to e-mail Soltek to confirm it. Of course some ES boards are the ones sent out for reviews and are sometimes the hand picked samples fussed over by the engineers so that could be a good thing. In fact if you decide not to buy it please PM me the person's name who is selling it as I'd be very interested in picking up another 75MRN since the one I have is a jewel

I bought it from NCIX.com here in Canadia. It surprises me that they would try and pass off an engineering sample, considering it's a fairly large, reputeable company.

I don't think they would do it on purpose. Again, e-mail Soltek and ask.

wow, you dug deep to find my thread. It was for a computer I built for a friend, and it's working good, so I've left it.
