Hi,
I accidently dented one of my resister on this board while I was putting it into an old case..and I'm worried that the resister I dented will stop my motherboard from functioning properly...its not a big dent but its cleary visible..I can't test this mb cuz I'm since in the process of getting everything together to build this system. Anyone had a similar accident and turned out ok?

Is this a real dent or a chip. If it is a chip, the resistor may still be okay. Also it could be a resistor for some function of the mobo that you aren't using. I would proceed and see if it works all right.

If it is a crack the resistor is probably open electrically and may affect a function of the mobo. I would still go ahead and see if mobo functioms properly.

Just my 2cents.

PS. Just realized there is not a "cent" symbol on standard keyboard.

after looking at the motherboard for awhile i realise that its not an resister its a small capacitor...does this make the situtuation worse?

Not really, just keep your eye on it occassionally to see if it begins to look like these pics Otherwise it should be fine.
