Soltek 75DRV5 KT333 Motherboard & Athlon 2100

My friend owns a Soltek 75DRV5 KT333 Motherboard, and recently decided he wanted to upgrade his processor from a 900 MHz, to something with a bit more speed...namely, my XP2100. So I bought a 2800, and sold him mine.

Well when he puts in in the motherboard, and presses the power button, we get a result that can best be described as "pulsating" As if you're trying to start your car with a batter that's almost got enough power to start it, so you keep turning the key, but the engine never quite turns over.

If anyone is familiar with this motherboard it has switches that let you control the clock speed (we set it to 133 for the 2100) and the multiplier (which we set to auto detect, per the manual instructions) I've read at least one review online of a person that did a review on this board using a 2100, so I KNOW it should be working, but we can't figure out the problem. We know the board works, because it works fine with his old processor, we know the processor works because it works with my computer, and we've even tried two different power supplies, to no avail.

If anyone has any expirence with this board, or just suggestions in general, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
