Meh. EVERY comparison test I've read between the two cars declares the Miata the winnar in all categories aside from maybe sex-appeal. And we know which is the more reliable car.

Edit: If I was in the market for a new drop-top, I would walk straight past a Pontiac stealership and right to the Miata store.
I'm just curious....what car do YOU drive? 😛 Come on now.....tell us. 😀
Obligatory Pic...

Well, I have sat in the new one and like it. So my old one (pictured) might be sold with only 60K miles on it for a new one. We shall see.

To be sure, Miata sales in January were 106.8 percent ahead of the same month last year,

no one seemed to read that part...

no one seems to know the MX-5 is an ALL new vehicle from the ground up

no one seems to know that GRM did a test which the Solstice won in a road course race (chamber was adjusted and a few other minor adjustments, all on same rubber) but the Solstice lost to the fully race ready Miata from 99.

um no one seems to realize that the Solstice can only produce a limited amount, and the Miata has a much higher number than that.

People only believe things that support their point of view in the first place.

My vote is for the solstice. Its a much bigger, better looking car imo. Plus, I'd rather buy an american car. As for its performance, it is only slightly behind the miata's and will be greatly improved when the GXP/ Redline version is inevitably realeased. It should be a very long lasting and durable vehicle judging by its components (the ecotec 4 cylinder is a very reliable engine).

TCL is going the same way of this thread.
