I cannot possibly even begin to put into words how annoying it is NOT to have a Fry's near me. :disgust:

I hate you Fry's....I hate you so much.

Just buy it online @ their website. It's the same price $49.99. You pay shipping but there's no tax so it's all the same in the end.

What's worse is living near a Frys for years and then having to move all the way across the country where theres jack squat when it comes to electronic stores. That and leaving all the friends/family of course :)

Be happy that outside of CA you won't have to pay tax for Newegg.

Fry's is ok, but not that great. I rather shop at Newegg.

I tried looking for it at the brokaw frys but all they got was the dual stick. and itw as 150 bucks.

darn I did'nt know I needed an adaptor to use it on the xbox. hmm guess I would ask the employees about it.

This bad boy is just awesome. I paid full price for mine (the dual stick version) and I think it was worth every penny. Emulator games feel so much better with a real arcade stick. The best use if fighting games, however. I have the xbox adaptor, and I can't imagine playing Marvel Vs Capcom 2 or Capcom Vs SNK 2 without the stick. The only problem with the dual stick version is that the two sticks are too close together, and you end up bumping elbows with your buddies...come to think of it, I might have to get two of these solo sticks and ebay my dual version and solve the elbow room problem :) Highly recommended...just do a google search and you'll see all the reviews are positive. At 50 bucks, this is a steal, IMO especially since you can just buy a new adaptor if you need to use it with another system, and the fact that you can easily swap out the joystick and buttons with standard arcade parts if they ever wear out.

I almost had to do just that but it didn't end up happening.

I was kind of looking forward to breaking my Fry's addiction...:(

Wow - the solo stick is a great deal! Pretty much half the price of ordering direct from X-Arcade! Thanks!

Finally found one at frys brokaw had to ask. I took the last one. they also only have 1 ps2 adaptor left too. No xbox ones at all.

the Campbell frys doesn't have the solo one either. but they have about 5-6 ps2 and xbox adaptors. didn't check gc

I can't remember the stock from other stores I had them check though cuz I wanted the xbox adaptor. Takes a bit getting used to button placements. But after a bit thing is totally cool.

For anyone who is undecide between 1 dual and 2 solo. I did that math for ya. I include california tax cuz I live here and I don't know other states tax rates

dual stick - 149.99
adaptor for console - 19.99 (doesn't matter which system)
tax for california people 8.25%

total - 184.00

solo - 49.99 X 2
adaptor console - 19.99 X @
tax for california people. 8.25%

And for those who registered for lifetime warranty. What is the serial number? is it the number on the back? the warranty paper doesn't have a serial number line but online has a serial number box.

total - 151.51

30 dollar savings.

No go at the Fry's in Austin. They had a big stack of them but wouldn't pricematch Outpost. Pretty dumb in my opinion, but that is one of the reasons I don't shop at Fry's anymore. You have to look out for returns on the shelf (ROTS) and they don't pricematch they're own website.

you guys make the return sticker such a big thing, just look at the box and if u see it find 1 that doesn't have it.... simple... and you gotta love there no restocking fee on motherboards, cpu, memory... where else can you get that? circuit city maybe, but no mb and cpus, etc. only bone i have with them is they won't price match san francisco's fry's at sacramento fry's.... only 1.5 hr drive....

We make such a big deal about it because they are selling returned merchandise as new. Only recently have they started reducing the prices (by 5% I believe) on returned items. However, many of the "sales" they have are on items they have nothing but these returned items. One that comes to mind is a huge stack of ECS P4 motherboards the Fry's here in Austin has. They frequently have sales using this motherboard but you can NOT find one without the return sticker.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Hey herkulease, since you got one, does the solo version have those pingball machine (side buttons) only on the left side, or on both sides? If it is only on the left side, that might cause some issues with people who buys 2 to build the cabinet instead of the dual stix version.

Do the X-arcade sticks have a clamp on the bottom so that you dont knock it over with heavy blows? I play vertical shooters a lot and I grip the stick really hard, and its annoying when the whole joystick isnt perfectly fixed

Umm...i think he meant does the entire enclosure itself have a clamp. If that's what he meant, then no, it doesn't...but it's a fairly heavy joystick, it stays put fine for me. But then again, I don't grip all that hard on the stick
