Solid mobo for Crossfire

What is a solid motherboard capable of running crossfire. The prices of 3870s is low enough to justify looking into this. Any ideas?

Intel or AMD? I have a write up on my board here which I use for Crossfire in conjunction with a 5000+ BE. For Intel you would be looking at the X48 (no point buying a comparatively priced X38 when the X48 is here) to get the 'most' out of a Crossfire setup (dual PCI-E 2.0 16x). If the X48's a little pricey for your budget you could wait a while for the budget P45's to hit which should in a few months.

Sure the P35 can do Crossfire, but I'd wait a little longer for the P45 to get the most out of Crossfire. The P35's 16x4 config is such that the card in the 4x slot has been seen to be 'limited' by about 10-15% due to the bandwidth constrictions- and thus I'd recommend the OP be willing to wait and buy a P45/X48 for a more balanced setup.
