Solid linux motherboard?

Hi folks,

Looking to build a new linux box -- it's for development, file server, etc... so stability is more important than anything else. I'd love to keep the cost down, as well, so was looking at the Athlon-based boards. Considered the Asus A7N8X but I'm not sure about it's stability / linux driver support...? I doubt if I'll be overclocking it at all, just for stability reasons.

I plan on using a GeForce3 AGP card with it, a couple of existing drives, and I've got either a linksys or 3com NIC I can use with it. Sound can either be on-board or I've got SB Live 5.1 card. I'll buy new memory sticks to match the board (probably 512mb).

Any success stories out there?

My friend is running RedHat 9 on a regular nForce (not 2) board, and I've heard that the latest releases from nVidia make the drivers for the NF2 easier to install. I know someone around here was running Linux on an NF2 board, but I can't remember who...
 
Right now the 845e mobo's are supported from RH7.3 .
The Granit Bay is reportedly supported in RH9.0.

I'm running several 845e's w/ 1 gig of ram w/ GF4-4400's (P4B533). Everything is completely stable.

The 845 mobo's are cheap right now & you can run up to 3Ghz...

I haven't found any info on the new Canterwood mobo's running Linux yet, but I'm waiting till the end of the year for the Canterwood ES server mobo's
to come out.
