Hello, I was wondering f this may be possible to diagnose.
I've a Biostar geforce 6100 M9 (socket 939) that was recently replaced via an
RMA. The replacement came with the latest BIOS, CU51M119.

When I boot this system it will hang solid anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour after
booting. It's a solid freeze, with a diagonal pattern on the screen.
However, if I flash one of the older BIOS' either cu51m222 or cu51m811, the system
is stable. I've tried reinstalling chipset+graphics drivers, but no change.

I've used the software A64 tweaker, and all the readings are identical between the good
and failing BIOS. Any idea's on troubleshooting?

If your not experiencing problems with the newer BIOS why not use the older BIOS revision that had no problems :S

Edited for clarity.

Thanks for responding. You're right. It's not imperative.
The only reason I wanted to look at 119 was that it had a few more options I
wanted to check out. Design-wise it's similar to the 811 BIOS, although 811 says" engineering only-do not distribute" on the POST screen.
Probably an earlier version. It was given to me by Biostar USA.

Secondly, it just bothers me. 119 is the latest BIOS for my board, it's been out since January 07,
so it's apparently working in some configs - but not for me. I'm running onboard everything, pretty simple config.

You could always check and see if there is a beta BIOS and see if it fixes this issue.
