they say its like counterstrike.. but better

for this price im willing to try it out

Gamespot gave it an 8.3/10. The players' reviews on Gamespot gave it a 6.3/10. From the few reviews that I read, the single player mode is just ok (weak sounds, quirky AI/enemies) but the multiplayer is supposed to be first rate.

Bought this game when it first came out. To be honest, I've never even touched the single player but I've heard it's about average. The game is insane fun in multiplayer though and it keeps getting better. This is cheap because there's an sof2 gold version heading to stores but you can download the gold patch to update this version so it's a great deal. I've been playing for six months and I'm still not tired of it.

Hehe yep, it rocks :D I only wish there was built-in voice chat. The game physics are not as unrealistic as Q3 or UT/UT2k3, but not as realistic (read: slow) as BF1942 or RTCW. You have a lot of control over your character, and the controls are tight and responsive. You can lean and shoot, head a guy with an AK from a few hundred yards away, and cook some Smohg Frag nades to clear out campers in hidden hallways. Infiltration is the funnest game mode IMO (objective timed or ends on elimination, no respawn), but CTF can be fun too (respawn and obviously cap the flag).

I actually have 2 copies of this game, one purchased on release in May and a 2nd one with my Audigy 2. EAX HD is AWESOME with this game :)

I got kinda burned out on it though after logging 4k frags and placing 1st over at Quakesh1t for August. Went back a few times and there are still a LOT of people playing and a lot of excellent players from when I was playing. Good fun.

I accidently typed in www.gogamerz.com instead of www.gogamer.com.............and a website actually popped up. Anyway, that was my interesting beginning - but I ended up in the right place after a click or two. Sweet deal!!! Now, if only I could get Battlefield 1942 this cheap!

This is a great game. I like it better than HL:Counter Strike, well worth $15.00. I bought this about 3 months ago for $20. Matter of fact I think I'm going to go play SOF2 right now. Great Multiplayer game
