hi..I have a motherboard that I broke the cheap little clip that holds the battery in on..so I need to solder the battery in..how can I get solder to flow onto the face of the battery and hold the wire on? I've tried using flux and lead core solder, and it just clumps up and won't flow onto the battery face...I even tried sanding the face of the battery down...anybody ever do this before?

Your gonna have to get that battery much hotter than it can take to get that solder to adhere to it. Your much better off trying to replace the battery socket or find a way to fix the clip.

I acutally thought about replacing the socket right after I posted..I had an old LX chipset board that was broken that I liberated the socket off of. Thanks :)
