Soldering...a temp alternative?...can i hotglue a wire to a pcboard as long as the wire and the gold part makes contact?

Soldering...a temp alternative?...can i hotglue a wire to a pcboard as long as the wire and the gold part makes contact? like aslong as the two metals make contact but the hotglue could just hold it there? would that work?

it might work but it will probably be a sh!tty connection..
better off just soldering it.. solder is temporary too, just heat it back up and pull wire out when you dont need it anymore.

eh im not too skilled at soldering..specialy in such small spots as this one is...ill try to see if it works this way ...if not i will seek an alternative...mabey a very fine point soldering iron...

If the solder point does not have to be that good then you can use one of those quick solder compounds things. They come in tubes like glue or epoxy tubes and require time to set and harden, but the compound is conductive, so it is better than just gluing the wire down.

HECK NO!


Thats like holding water pipes together with duct tape.

In order for wire to make good contact with PC board, you have to apply considerably amount of pressure through spring loaded mechanism or by soldering.

When you hot glue it, it'll kinda touch there and when current goes through it gets HOT since contact is very bad. Sometimes it wouldn't even make contact. You're risking glitching and fire.
