Can someone give me any tips on soldering. I wanto solder this xbox controller wire to usb, got a small propane torch and solder. heh

First tip, lose the propane torch and get something more precise. Torches are good for soldering battery terminals on your car and other big not so delicate stuff, but not electronics.

Yes, get the lowest watt soldering iron you can get from the shack.

25w Soldering Pencil, Low Melting Point Solder (Thinner the better), and a some Flux on the side.
