SOLDER method?

hi... is it safe to use the SOLDERING method to unlock & connect the bridges on a PALOMINO-cored XP??? will this damage any part of the cpu? i have here an 11watt fine tip....

pls pm me... :):):)

um, no - soldering the cpu is not a generally accepted way to go.

It would more than likely seriously damage just about any part of the cpu.

The theory behind [heat] soldering is to get the metals hot enough with the iron and then touch the solder to the hot metal to melt the solder and bond the wires and/or contacts together.

Definately not a good idea to heat solder any part of the cpu.

but would it work? like whats has done to older AMD cpu,they used soldering to permanently connect the bridges... im rili desperate to unlock thi baby coz i want it go faster & theres nothing here conductive to use...

im not using t-bird... my cpu is PALOMINO... im gona gamble & try to unlock my CPU using the soldering method....

be back in a few hours once im done......

wish me luck!!!

ive made the unlocking tru soldering method... now my axp 1800+ is running at axp 2000+ (12.5x133) at 1.800v... for now ill let it stay that way to allow the AS3 & volcano9 accomodate the new speed... hope this is enuf...
