hi... is it safe to use the SOLDERING method to unlock & connect the bridges on a PALOMINO-cored XP??? will this damage any part of the cpu? i have here an 11watt fine tip....
It would more than likely seriously damage just about any part of the cpu.
The theory behind [heat] soldering is to get the metals hot enough with the iron and then touch the solder to the hot metal to melt the solder and bond the wires and/or contacts together.
Definately not a good idea to heat solder any part of the cpu.
but would it work? like whats has done to older AMD cpu, they used soldering to permanently connect the bridges... im rili desperate to unlock thi baby coz i want it go faster & theres nothing here conductive to use...
ive made the unlocking tru soldering method... now my axp 1800+ is running at axp 2000+ (12.5x133) at 1.800v... for now ill let it stay that way to allow the AS3 & volcano9 accomodate the new speed... hope this is enuf...
