If I hadn't jumped for a 512 gb, I could have a smaller drive like this and put 200 to 300 dollars towards a video card.

Of course, if videocards had deals as good as this one, i would be getting one anyway. As I've said on other threads, this drive and the crucial m4's are very highly rated.
 
I grabbed enough ssd's I won't need them til next year.

I would like to just wait a bit for a good mobo/cpu/gpu.

My problem is needs vs wants. I don't need any gear but I do want a lot more.
