You want to be 1337? Is Linux not Unix enough for you? Is the fact that BSDi is finally dead putting you off? Your tired of the whole Free/Net/OpenBSD scene? You feel stupid for paying for a "free" OS, but don't want to give your money to our MS overlords? Do you find VMS just more then just a bit "stupid"?

Why not get Solaris 9 for x86?

Is it on a comeback?

Only 95 dollars...

What do you think, is it worth it?

You can get the download version for $20, IIRC. Good luck with hardware compatibility, though. I've gotta run, but here are some tidbits - Solaris doesn't like IDE CD-ROM's on a slave channel. There's no driver included for the Realtek 8139. i810 integrated video is not supported.

Have fun...

Agreed. solaris on x86 is bad. Save your money or spend it on an old ultra 1 or 2 on ebay for about the same amount. Download the free Solaris 9 for ultra CDs and have fun...
