Solaris 8 x86

Ok, I want to install Solaris 8 x86 on my box, I have read the compatibilty lists and it seems the only thing I would have to do is just upgrade from my voodoo3 (which is not supported). So basicly I have two questions, does anybody know what video cards are supported that sun does not list, and also is it possible to install Solaris on a spare partition on the same drive windows is installed on, (since my spare 6 gig decided to die in the middle of a file transfer). If anyone has any experience with it (or previous versions), I would appreciate some help, as I am kinda lost on this one. Thanks in advance.

I personally have used Solaris x86. Mainly because it doesn't have as much hardware support as the SPARC based version, nor any of the Linux distros.

I've also heard that the Solarix x86 isn't nearly has stable and robust as it's bigger brother (SPARC). For the record, I use Solaris 2.6 - 8 on a variety of Sun hardware daily at work.

For what it's worth, I'v heard that Sun is pretty much going to let the x86 version dry up.
