Hi im part of a club in my school to be more environmentally conscientious. And the project i was assigned to was to look into the feasibility of solar power www.solar-electric.com. All im looking for is to just light a display case w/ maybe 2 lightbulbs using a solar power system. I've looked into websites like etc but im not very clear on what parts are necessary to keep a system going. Living in the pacific northwest we dont get a lot of sun so we'll probably need a battery.
From what i can see i think i need this stuff, please correct me :
BP SX20 20 watt solar panel $229.00
Some kind of wiring?
F-110T 110 amp fuse $18.00
SunGuard 4.5 amp solar charge controller $30.00
Solsum 12 Volt DC light 7 Watt $28.00
Surrette Canada S-460 350 amp-hour 6 volt battery $259.00
Iota Engineering 30 amp regulated battery charger $162.00
Battery interconnect cable #4 AWG x 18' Black $7.00
To any electricity experts out there, i was wondering the diff between amp/watt/volt and how they need to match up etc. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
