It's me again 😛

Do solar panels operate when they are forward bias? I mean when the photons hit the N material on top of the panel and cross into the P material, does the current flow from the P into the N material to drive a connected load?

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hm, do you happen to be taking materials for the electrical sciences? We are doing the same thing currently in class....

I can't remember which quadrant solar cells operate in, but I should. I'll look it up in my notes.

Ok, they run in the fourth quadrant: Va is positive (forward biased) but I is negative (I.E. it opposes the voltage across it).
