Has anybody installed a SolaTube in your home?? If you did please advise on how you like it and what the materials / labor cost for installation. We have three of them installed in our house. They were installed in ~2003 and show no signs of aging and have never leaked. This is in southern Arizona with brutal UV weathering.

Correction: I looked up the purchase dates and we had them installed in 2006 and 2008. The 10" size was $450 installed in 2008 and the 14" size was $545.00 installed in 2008. The roof to ceiling distance is very short so installation didn't require any extension tube.

I got them installed today. Very happy...solves the daytime dark kitchen issues and a dark hall way issue.

Do they bring in heat along with the light?

Do you have the night lights in them?? The existing night lights could use improvement...wondering if there's a mod to improve / replace the night light assy which hangs on a hook just above the bezel / diffuser ??

No, we didn't go with the night lights. I think the bezel comes off but best to ask the installer.
