software utility to make screen brighter

Is there such a thing? I've heard about one, but have yet to see it in use. PLease direct me if you know. Thank you.

You need Powerstrip, a free download that I got from 3dfiles.com. It has some hot keys that allow you to brighten or darken your screen even in the middle of a game. great if you are stuck in a dark room and need to see some detail. I think the keys are CTRL - and CTRL + works on the desktop too, great prog you must download it.
