software to use "Print to File"?

I wanted to be able to print documents to a pdf or word file wen you hit the "print" button instead of onto paper.

A few options I have on my printers are:
MS XPS Document Writer
MS Office Document image Writer

But my other programs won't read them to upload.

I don't quite understand the problem. You're saying the XPS documents don't work?

I can read the XPS docment but some programs like my fax program won't open it.
