I'm on a PC but maybe somebody can help me, syncing photos with iTunes is pissing me off, I can't get it to create folders on my iPod and it seems to want to delete crap sometimes. I'd like to be able to click and drag photos not go thru 4 steps only to maybe have some pics deleted :) There has to be a good 3rd party program to make this process less painless.

You want it less painless? :)

I think that iTunes on Windows uses the Pictures Folder in the My Documents to sync to the iPods. So... I would suggest maybe something like Picasa to organize them all and then iTunes should get the newly sorted photos just fine.

yes less pain and more control. I found a app that does an awesome job but it's $20 bucks, I'm not sure if I sync enough pictures to justify spending $20 but I might. I love iTunes for Music but for Photos it's a blasted Nightmare. At least on Windows, I dunno how good it works for pics on Apple. Maybe I should go buy a Macbook and find out lol.

Well, on OS X, iPhoto handles all your photo management and organization, and then iTunes just pulls from that.

I can't even get pictures to sync from my phone to my homebuilt running Vista. I just get a bunch of empty folders in my Pictures folder. I sort of looked into it once and saw some posts saying it was the NTFS file structure and FAT32 doesn't have that problem.

Who knows. I just plug my phone into my Macbook every once and a while.

well I'm glad it's not only me lol, it works sometimes for me but the results are all over the place. I found what looks to be a good iTunes replacement called CopyTrans Pro but for the photo syncing + iPod syncing it's like $40. too rich for my blood :)

I hear ya there. I'm not going to pay for something that should work out of the box.

Really, I hardly ever use my iPhone for pictures anyways.

Are you running Vista as well?

Yes Vista 64, I don't mind iTunes but some things about it confuse me. like I have 3 "on the go" playlists I created directly on my Touch. I can see 2 of them in iTunes and edit them and whatever. the 3rd it coming up blank in iTunes.

it's a love hate relationship with iTunes but I love my Touch so I deal with the hate :D
