Software to Restrict Program Access

I have a classroom of web developers. We have game days the last friday of every month so I have several games installed on the classroom computers. What I would like to do is restrict access to those games unless I type in my administrative password. Currently, they can open them and for some students its too tempting. It's also annoying to uninstall and reinstall (especially with patches) every time I give them some free time.

Is there a way to do this in Windows or perhaps a 3rd party piece of software?

I would say the easiest way is probably going to use separate accounts on the PCs. One for schoolwork that they know the password to, and one for play that you walk around and log in to for them before class starts.

It's not perfect, but it's probably the simplest solution.

Create a games folder
Restrict the access to the folder to the admin.
Have the admin remove the restriction as needed and reset when needed.

My school used Macs and a program called At Ease to prevent this crap from happening. I would agree that separate accounts could work.
