Hey there,

It's been a long time since I've been working with 440BX mobos and Pentium 2s. An internet friend of mine would like to overclock his CPU and he asked me for help. He has one of those "layaway" computers where you can't access the BIOS since it's passworded or something. Anyways, what's the best and easiest software to overclock a Pentium 2 333mhz on a no-name Intel 440BX mobo? The software has to be simple (so I can help him walk through what to do) and can change the values for the FSB. Note: I think his P2 might be locked (my old P2 was locked) so you couldn't change the multiplier or each time you boot up, the multiplier resets itself.

Anything that's freeware? He doesn't like shareware that stops operating after a certain time period.

You need to check if you have a supported MoBo / PLL (clock generator) on that Mobo. If yes, buy the software!
