I know it's a long shot, given y'all are rapidly approaching the "get off my lawn" stage in life, but does anyone use a social media manager in their professional line of work?

Our nonprofit's social media pages are really starting to pick up and we need to do a better job managing the communication - responding to messages, replies, etc. We are pretty active on FB/IG.

Any recs? Paid is ok too.

this was from ages ago, in internet time, like 5-6 years ago. I managed multiple social media accounts for a publisher. I used Hootsuite back then. No idea how good it is now. Good luck!

Hire a social media graduate -- they have diplomas for this now -- for minimum wage... Oh wait, I mean, hire an "intern" for course credit. Then keep going.

As an update to this, I've basically found that the 2 biggest players in this space are hootsuite and sprout social. Of course, sprout social is $60/month and hootsuite is about half of that. Decisions decisions...

$60/mo seems pretty cheap if it does what you need it to do.

The corporate side of me where I work my day job says "I agree". The non-profit side of me where I work my night job says "holy shit that's a lot of money".

Seems to me a small non profit could do it with clever scripting and appropriate notification settings from the pertinent sites.
