software to make a list of a system's hardware details

I'm looking for some program that can make a full list of hardware details of a system. I should be able to email this to a user , have him or her run the program, it will anazlye the hardware/software and hopefully there will be some easy way to have the results sent to me, because people with very little knowledge about computers will be running it. Then I will know what I am dealing with before I come on site. Anybody know of any program that will do this?

Sandra will do it for you. Start the app, press "ctrl+R". This will bring up the wizard for creating reports. You can specify wich modules you want (a system sumary, CPU info, MoBo info, Multimedia, Storage and all kinds of stuff). You can create an HTML page, and XML documente or whatever.

i've got something called aida32 or somethign like that.....its at work though so i can't remember the exact name

Belarc Advisor is free and so simple even a computer inept person can download it and use it. I had my brother download it and tell me what was on his computer so that I could straighten something out for him. And if he can do it, anyone can. Give that boy a wrench and he hurts himself.

AIDA32 and Belarc are both excellent programs. AIDA32 is the most comprehensive system information program. Belarc Advisor is the simplest -- just click on the exe and the info will appear in the web browser in a short time. Can't get any easier.
